do we know? if not, please notify us today & download our leaflet... ... important patient notice mid essex ccg shutdown wednesday 27th june 2018 please note the beacon health group will be closed from 12.00pm - 18.30pm on this date. an out of hours telephone number will be provided closer to the time for our patients. patient notice change to our gp appointment system on the day emergency as of monday 9th april, patients requiring an emergency appointment for the same day will be booked into our telephone triage list. this list will be overseen by three clinicians 2 gps and 1 emergency care practitioner. after receiving a call back to assess your emergency from one of our highly trained clinicians you will be booked in to the next appropriate available appointment. this may well be on the same day should your condition be deemed an emergency by our clinical team, alternatively it will be booked for later that week. pre bookable appointments pre bookable routine appointments will now be released no more than two weeks ahead. this decision has arisen from patient feedback and also our alarming rate of did not attend (dna) appointments booked further than two weeks ahead. each day a number of appointments will be released to be booked on the day for routine matters and also appointments to be pre booked two weeks ahead. you can also pre book appointments online up to two weeks ahead. following guidance received from public health england, all travellers please be advised that there is a global shortage of hepatitis a vaccine. we would like to advise our patients to continue with any planned appointments for travel vaccination in order that you can discuss the issue with your nurse but we would like you to be aware that due to circumstances beyond our control we may be unable to give you hepatitis a vaccination. should this be the case our trained travel nurses will advise you accordingly. welcome to the beacon health group the partnership of drs mcallister, plate, hunt, frankel, brock & mrs l hunt the beacon health group partnership operates over two sites. the main site (danbury medical centre) is based in danbury and the branch site (mountbatten house surgery) is based in north springfield. across both sites we have 15 gps, 3 nurse practitioners, 7 practice nurses and 2 health care assistants providing appointments. danbury medical centre has always been an accredited gp training practice and now we are pleased to receive the endorsement for us to extend this facility over to our springfield site too. in 2017 we welcome three new gp trainees to our team. the beacon health group is now able to offer our patients a wider variety of services ranging from chronic disease clinics to minor surgery services (performed within the new purpose built minor surgery suite based at danbury). we also provide friday extended morning appointments between 7.00am-8.00am and monday evening appointments between 6.30pm-8.00pm provided by gps and nurses. patients now have the flexibility to choose the location they wish to visit and the appointment time they wish to attend. patients will also have a greater choice of clinician operating from both sites. with our patients at the forefront of every decision made, the beacon health group offers further value to the health of our existing patients an also that of new patients coming to the area. booking an appointment by far the most successful way to book an appointment is for patients to register for online booking, as outlined below. if you require a routine gp or nurse appointment, please telephone the practice after 08:00 am daily. if your call is urgent and you need to see a gp on the day, the receptionist will leave your details with the duty doctor who will assess and contact you so please ensure telephone availability. test results online you are now able to access test results and your detailed coded record through your online user account. please see 'online services' for more information the nhs accessible information standard is a new law to make sure that people who have a disability, impairment or sensory loss are given information they can easily read or understand. please see the following guidance below: the accessible information standard the beacon health group - online appointment booking to use this facility the patient must first obtain a user name and password from the surgery in order to log in. this must be done in person at the surgery and will only be provided by the receptionist upon production of photo id by the patient - such as passport, photo driving licence or student card.
